I used to had a P3 at 1.0 GHz socket 370 and the first time I installed it, the fan wast´n working, so it crashed after 45 minutes of running a game. CPU temp was 96°C after reset. this means that it whill freeze after 100°C and not 38°C as it appears in the video. This CPU was working with the heatsink but the fan was OFF so the PC survived, I also tested an older SLOT 1 P3 700 MHz and it will work fine al day whithout the fan but it might crash in a hot day.this might be because of the bigger heat sink than the socket 370

its not true that a P4 will keep on working slow at a very low temperature(38C) whithout a cooling kit( it should be higher). it usually works between 43 and 58 °C with the regular cooling kit and it will not even slowdown at 70°C. Max work temp is 75°C. I dont now wat hapens after 70C but if it slowsdown then it should have protecction that P3 dont at very high temperatures. silicon chips, and transistors usually burn after 150°C
