What kind of MORON puts their cat on a treadmill? Do you also leash it up and take it for a drag around the block?

Chill out!

I am a biologist, pet lover, and a happy cohabitant (one never owns them :) of 2 cats. The cat in this video is not in pain, does not seem to be unhappy or even uncomfortable. It is not scared (objectively, based on completely relaxed muscles and, especially, ears) and, most likely, thinks of the whole thing as some strange but not unpleasant game. The human couple is perfectly OK, they are not morons as the 1st poster implied. Get less uptight, human!
