Here's one of the best car commercials I've ever seen, and probably will never see again. But the idea is correct: who cares if you've got a Prius? Who cares if it will do 50mpg. There are non-hybrid cars (VW diesels like the Polo Bluemotion) that will do 70mpg, without making a fuss out of it. Anyway, the commercial is hilarious and it also ends with a bang

Yes. This is true, you can easily make biodiesel at home and use it with your existing diesel car. It will actually run smother, and lubricate your engine, thus extending its life. In Europe, biodiesel is already available mixed with regular diesel. Anyway, lets hope that US will take note!
