A film footage from NASA showing the trip of a solid rocket booster, from the moment it separates from the space shuttle, to its landing. Awesome! Enjoy!
What actually happens if you sit in front of a laboratory particle beam accelerator? Well, you can try and find out, but I would suggest to have a look at this video first, which graphically ilustrates what happens. Very insightful. Also, you should keep in mind that these kind of particles are seen regularly in space. An effective way of dealing with them (using electromagnets) has been proposed, but is still in research. Enjoy!
Transparent plastic and some tape..that's all it took the scientists to invent a coffee cup that works in zero gravity. Yay!
The first Chinese space walk took place recently. Here's how it looked!
Some lucky guy got to see the spaceshuttle launch from an airliner. Here's the video. Not as inspiring and remarkable as the launch seen from Earth, but still one hell of a view! Enjoy!
It's amazing how a simple reaction on earth, becomes so spectacular in space. The bubbles form, unite, and explode in a different way than you'd expect. Very cool! Enjoy!
I don't usually go for music videos unless they're very special, but this one got my attention, and I just couldn't let it go. The music is great, and the video is extremely creative. I'll hope you'll like it as much as I did. Enjoy!
This is the 1st automated parking garage installed in New York. Fully automated, it functions similar to an elevator, by placing your car underground in a free parking spot. It's really cool considering that it saves not only your time, but also lots of space, and money because it doesn't have driveways!
A really cool video from the Transition Region and Coronal Explorer (TRACE). TRACE is a NASA Small Explorer mission to image the solar corona and transition region at high angular and temporal resolution. Whatever that means. All I can say is that these video of the Sun rulz!
Funny
This little bunny is not too happy about the roomba vacuum cleaner with which it shares its space. Tough !
Here's a very funny video justifying why I don't have a MySpace account. Neither Hi5 for that matter: the people you want to be flirting with you aren't the ones who do! Enjoy!
In this funny skit, Christopher Walken plays a strange guy while Tim Meadows plays the census taker. I know, it's a little old (a year or so), but for those who haven't seen it, it'll be gold. Enjoy this funny census taker video!
WTF..?!
Two women wanted the same parking space at a popular shopping center. The driver of the red car went berserk when her place was taken. Look what happened!
Ouch
Well...in my opinion the fault is with the driver who wants to make a left turn, and with the smart boy who decided to stop all traffic just to let the guy coming from the side street turn left, not thinking of the potential risks involved. Of course, an argument can be made, that it was a dangerous overtaking, although the guy was crossing a dotted line and had enough space for the maneuver.
Tech
This forklift uses the same technology you've seen used in the robot with omni-directional wheels. As somebody pointed out in the comments, these wheels are called mecanum wheels and have been around since '73 and are used by the US military for different utility vehicles that operate on-board aircraft carriers where movement space is limited. Very interesting!
In the string theory and the super string theory physicists talk about the tenth dimension, and even the eleventh dimension, but how can that be? Well in this video clip explains what the tenth dimension is, and how the eleventh dimension could be theorized. I found it, very interesting, and extremely well done. The tenth dimension and eleventh dimension are the next big thing in physics, and sound very promising for the future of man kind! Hope you'll enjoy this fun physics lesson as much as I did
Amazing
I can call this the ultimate thrill! Landing the space shuttle. No engines, just plain ol' gliding! It's deifinitely a tribute to the amazing skills that the pilot/astronaut has! Enjoy!
This astronaut demonstrates the use of a boomerang in space. I always thought that the boomerang could only work in the atmosphere of Earth. It seems that it doesn't. My bad!
An incredible achievement: Flying with 600 helium balloons at an altitude of 11,000 ft (4km). It's wonderful to be at that altitude without any noisy engine! Amazing!
It took place on Samsung stadium in Japan Korea, and is way over anything I've seen before! Wow. The music is great, the choreography is perfect, and simply impressive. Enjoy!
