Well to see the BIG difference between an F1 car (even an at least 10 year old one) and all other cars, including a top of the line Porsche in those times, you have to see them at the same time on the track. This video, does just that!
An impressive commercial, featuring some kids making a loop on the railroad tracks. When the train comes, the result is...well see for yourself!
For those of you who are passionate about cars, here's one of the questions that has been bugging you for a while: can a blinding fast motorbike outrun the fastest production car in existence: the Bugatti Veyron? Well the answer is both yes and no. Yes, because from a standstill, the bike is definitely faster to 60 mph, and no, because the Veyron has a greater top speed and a faster time to 100 and 160 mph. So, enjoy this beautiful duel between the Bugatti Veyron and the Yamaha R1!
Recipe: You take one portable RPL-300 Green Laser (around 316mW power output) and then you inflate 20 balloons or so until you start getting dizzy or bored (whichever comes first). You put the 20 balloons in a row, in front of the laser. The result is clearly visible in this video!
P.S: As an alternative you can replace it with a several MW laser, add a tracking system to it, and call it an anti-rocket shield!
Funny
This is an old video from a Superbike race from 1999, but it's funny to see how a little oil spill on the track can put down the best riders! Anyway...bad marshals. Enjoy the show!
A funny video made with the sound track from the 300 movie trailer and different scenes from The Simpsons show. Enjoy!
Ouch
A big loader was on the tracks, while the Amtrak train kept coming and signaling. Unfortunately, the loader didn't clear the tracks on time, and was hit by the train. Luckily, the hit was only to its rear, so the driver probably escaped with a scare and a need to change underwear. Enjoy the first person action!
On Sunday, the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix took place. On lap 38 a terrible, but lucky, accident took place on the track, with Robert Kubica being the pilot of the F1 car. It was announced only today that he in fact escaped with only a minor leg injury! Incredible!
This track worker decided to take a shortcut at the wrong moment. The result? Multiple fractures! Ouch!
Big in Japan
Where else but in Japan, would someone think of such a game? The goal is to propel yourself in the sledge forward, without touching what's at the end of the track. The surprise is that at the end there is a pair of boobies
Tech
This little robot has a very big heart. In these two videos it pulls a Hummer, and climbs some stairs with a human on its back. The secret to all this torque, is transmitting the power to the ground through those 4 independently moving tracks which help a great deal. The other problem I see is the battery, because I don't think you can do anything with it after any of these cool little tricks.
Amazing
Two idiots decided to go past the reail tracks exactly when the train is coming. If you are faint hearted...look away, because this stunt can give you a heart attack!!!!
A stray dog managed to get on the race circuit in Bucharest, Romania. Approximately 20 minutes until the end of the race, a stray dog managed to get through the VIP section and on to the race track. Scared by the tremendous noise of the cars, the dog ran for the pit lane. There it was scared again by people trying to catch him. In the meantime the yellow flag appeared on the track. The dog could not be caught, and went yet again on the track. Only luck saved the poor dog, who had a very near miss with a FIA GT3 super car. Lastly, the dog left the race track by its own power, the way he came in, accompanied by the applause of the spectators.
A pretty spectacular video in ultraviolet capturing the transit of the Moon in front of the Sun.
Here are some more details from the authors: "A million miles from planet Earth, last weekend the STEREO B spacecraft found itself in the shadow of the Moon. So, looking toward the Sun, extreme ultraviolet cameras onboard STEREO B were able to record a stunning movie of a lunar transit (aka solar eclipse), as the Moon tracked across the solar disk."
This amazing video is from the British show Top Gear. They tested this amazing 1,000hp super-car on a private test track in Germany to see if it will really do 407.4 km/h (253mph). The amazing result is in this video. Enjoy!
At 300kph two bikes on the race track collide. It's amazing how neither of them got hurt or killed. Watch this amazing near-accident bike video
A kid falls on the subway tracks, and the train is coming...Would you do what this guy did? It's simply amazing. Watch!!!
This is the Skyguard Laser Defense system, which is part of the missile defense system, able to track, and fire upon incoming air threats. In this video clip the Skyguard Laser Defense System is tested by destroying mortars, artillery fire and missiles launched from the ground. The Skyguard Laser Defense system is definitely the future in terms of the missile defense system which America is believed to have up-and-running.
Technology and Health News
Even a visual stimulus extremely short, less than millisecond, affects the decoding of information in the nervous system.
The Ferrari of insects, the horsefly, a tiny acrobat who moves at high speed, has proved that even a very short visual stimulus (on the scale of milliseconds) affects decoding information in the nervous system. This was discovered by scientists in universities of Indiana, Princeton (New Jersey) and the Los Alamos National Laboratory (New Mexico), one of the largest multidisciplinary institutions in the world.
A human being is unable to record the continuous change of scenery and should have a supra-sensory stimulation. But this is a fly: its nervous system processes information very quickly so that the insect can adapt to what he sees with a reaction time of 30 milliseconds. "During the flight," says Ruyter van Steveninck University of Indiana, "the horsefly must quickly analyze a number of complex information and, because of its ability to move rapidly, it is reasonable to think that the way it deciphers level sensory-motor data is optimal. We then decided to study its visual system to understand how his brain can order a continuous stream of very complex data in such an efficient way. "
