Well you've probably heard that the TGV broke the train speed record on rail roads. It still isn't the fastest train, because MagLev gets that price, but then again, it doesn't run on rails. Enjoy this cool video of the TGV reaching 574.8 kph (357.2 mph)!
WTF..?!
Ah...what would the world be without this homemade record? Probably just a better place.
This barber, gathered for 50 years while practicing his job, a 167 pound hairball. What is he going to do with it you ask? Well, aside from getting his name in the Guiness World Record book...I have no idea! Enjoy!
Big in Japan
Where else, but in Japan, you can see such a mad video. A guy attempts to beat the slam dunk record on Japanese TV, by jumping off a trampoline to slam dunk the basketball. Probably that it's not a qualified slam dunk record because it's from a trampoline, but it still makes a pretty good video.
Amazing
This man earned himself a Guinness World Record for the highest tightrope walk. The altitude? 7200 3200 ft. Impressive. For the faint-hearted, I'll mention that he has a safety rope
The Mil Mi-12 is by far the biggest helicopter made. It holds the world lift record for a helicopter at 44 tons! Only two of these Russian monsters were ever made, but unfortunately none of them is operational.
The new fastest production car is the SSC Ultimate Aero. It has set a new Guinness World Record run wit a speed of 413.7 km/h (255.8 mph). The previous fastest production car was the Bugatti Veyron with 407.4 km/h (253mph). You can see it here. Enjoy!
This is a remarkable performance, but we should keep in mind that the world record is 39.88 seconds. If I wouldn't of seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't believe it!

Even a visual stimulus extremely short, less than millisecond, affects the decoding of information in the nervous system.
The Ferrari of insects, the horsefly, a tiny acrobat who moves at high speed, has proved that even a very short visual stimulus (on the scale of milliseconds) affects decoding information in the nervous system. This was discovered by scientists in universities of Indiana, Princeton (New Jersey) and the Los Alamos National Laboratory (New Mexico), one of the largest multidisciplinary institutions in the world.
A human being is unable to record the continuous change of scenery and should have a supra-sensory stimulation. But this is a fly: its nervous system processes information very quickly so that the insect can adapt to what he sees with a reaction time of 30 milliseconds. "During the flight," says Ruyter van Steveninck University of Indiana, "the horsefly must quickly analyze a number of complex information and, because of its ability to move rapidly, it is reasonable to think that the way it deciphers level sensory-motor data is optimal. We then decided to study its visual system to understand how his brain can order a continuous stream of very complex data in such an efficient way. "
