Hey everyone! I'm actually from the US, but I studied in Australia about a year ago. I went to the University of the Sunshine Coast and I lived in Chancellor Park at UniCentral. I miss it so much, especially since it's currently 10 degrees F. and snowing in New York. I just wanted to say hi and that I absolutely adore the Sunshine Coast and I miss everything about it!

Hello again (and thank you for the warm welcome!). I stumbled across something in another community - turns out that they're making an Australian version of Monopoly and you can vote for various regions to be included. So far the Great Barrier Reef is winning - but Sunshine Coast isn't too far behind - and well, we're beating Brisbane, so it's a start!

I am new to the Sunshine Coast - I was born and bred in Brisbane, and have lived there my entire life (aside from 2 brief stints in Woodford and Lismore - no, I'm not a hippy, I swear!). Last year I decided that I was sick of visiting the Sunshine Coast constantly (it's so beautiful, so we visited a lot) and decided that I had to live there instead. So as a first year teacher to be, I put in applications for every school on the coast - and was offered a position in Caloundra at a truly amazing school - and I start there in 2 weeks time.
