I normally hate the automatic cry of FAKE!, but in this case it's an obvious one. It's obviously just a framework on casters with the camera on the inside, covered in blue plastic, moving round inside a gym on a wooden floor.

This DOES NOT look omni-directional...

It only seems to work when he moves forward and back, but if he tries to move left or right it looks like it only tolerates it for a second by moving with a spring.... This isn't omnidirectional, since that wouldn't make sense, it's just loose in the direction you normally couldn't walk..

You guys are such non-believers. There is another video that shows it a bit better. Search "Cyberspace Interface" on YouTube.

To the skeptics to lazy to look

Also, if you had gone to the link he gave already (http://www.vsd.bz), you could see the truly simple design. Looking at the design, you can also see why certain directions do not react as quickly as the direction perpendicular to that.

a flaw

a flaw in this design is that due to to the complicated motor systen this is sopoused to have this treadmill couldent react quickli enought to follow a person at running speed and if it did it coudent even stop fast enoght to prevent the person from being slamed into the wall,pardon my spelling,english isent my first language

the plans

looking at the designs they look like they work in theory, but i doubt there would be much durability... and as people have previously stated, it doesn't look like it could tolerate any running.

if it's a fake, good effects

if it's real, it is most definitely a huge step in the VR direction, it just needs to be refined a bit more, i see all these people complaining, why hasn't someone mentioned how awesome of a development this could possibly be.
